Overview: As an Editor at SNS Media House, you will play a crucial role in shaping and refining written or visual content for various media productions. This role requires strong editorial skills, attention to detail, and the willingness to learn and use industry-standard software and tools to enhance storytelling through editing.

Responsibilities:

• Content Editing: Edit and polish written or visual content, including articles, scripts, videos, and other media formats, using industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) to ensure clarity, coherence, accuracy, and consistency with SNS Media House’s style and standards.
• Proofreading: Review and correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax errors in written content, ensuring high-quality, error-free publications or productions.
• Storytelling Enhancement: Collaborate with writers, scriptwriters, and creators to refine narrative structure, character development, dialogue, pacing, and overall storytelling effectiveness.
• Technical Editing: Ensure technical accuracy and coherence in specialized content areas, such as technical manuals, reports, or educational materials, maintaining clarity and precision in content delivery.
• Content Strategy: Contribute to content planning and strategy discussions, providing editorial insights and recommendations to enhance audience engagement and meet strategic objectives.
• Project Coordination: Coordinate with writers, designers, videographers, and other team members to ensure seamless workflow and timely delivery of edited content.
• Style Compliance: Maintain consistency in style, tone, and voice across all content types, adhering to brand guidelines and editorial policies.
• Version Control: Manage multiple versions of edited content, track changes, and ensure accurate document management and version control practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience (5+ years) as an Editor, Copy Editor, or similar role in media, publishing, or digital content creation.
• Excellent command of English grammar, syntax, and style, with a meticulous eye for detail and accuracy.
• Strong editing skills, including substantive editing, copy editing, and proofreading, with hands-on experience using editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and editing techniques.
• Creative mindset and ability to provide constructive feedback to improve content quality and effectiveness.
• Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and content management systems (CMS).
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field. Additional qualifications or certifications in editing are a plus.
